# French-speaking Discord servers French on Discord is far more than France. Francophone servers bring together people from France, Belgium, Switzerland, Quebec and the rest of Canada, and a large and fast-growing francophone Africa, including Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Cameroon and the DR Congo. Each region brings its own expressions, music and sense of humour, and part of the fun is discovering them. Manga and anime are a particular strength. France has one of the largest manga markets outside Japan, and French fandom servers are full of readers discussing new volumes, collectors comparing editions and artists sharing fan work. French rap has its own devoted communities, as do roleplay servers, competitive gaming groups, and study servers for the bac, classes prépa and university. Quebec communities deserve their own mention: their slang, cultural references and North American time zone make them feel distinct, and many Québécois prefer servers where joual and local humour are at home. African francophone servers often bring together members from several countries, mixing French with Wolof, Lingala or other languages in casual chat. On DiscoListing, French listings that index scanlations or anime streams, sell accounts or currency, share illegal sports streams or host harassment are rejected at review. Learners of French are often welcomed warmly; the Language Exchange tag connects you with francophones who want to practise a language you already speak. Gaming is strong too. Francophone players run competitive teams, roleplay cities and creative communities for Minecraft and other titles, and esports fans follow French teams closely across several games. If you prefer something calmer, literature and philosophy servers continue a long francophone tradition of debate and close reading. ## Top servers _No servers listed yet._ ## FAQ ### Are there Quebec or African francophone servers?
