The furry fandom has always had an adult side, and it is kept deliberately apart from the all-ages spaces that many members first join. The communities under this tag are that adult side: servers for members aged 18 and over who share mature anthropomorphic artwork, write adult stories and roleplay with other adults.

Separation is the whole point. Listings here are hidden unless a visitor opts in to adult content, each server must be age-restricted on Discord, and members must pass an age check before the mature channels appear. Safe-for-work furry communities, including ones that welcome teenagers, are listed under the Furry tag and should be your choice if you want art and friendship without adult material.

Inside a good adult server, things are orderly. Artwork is sorted into channels by theme so that nobody is surprised by something they did not choose to see, every post names its artist, and commission advertising is confined to one place. Roleplay areas ask partners to agree limits beforehand and to respect them, with staff available when someone does not. The rest of the server usually looks like any other fandom hub: character sheets, convention plans, music and late-night voice chat.

Certain things are never acceptable. Characters who are minors or are drawn and described as childlike may not appear in sexual material, and "cub" content is banned outright on DiscoListing and by Discord.
