About Giveaways Discord servers

Giveaways are a common way for servers to celebrate milestones, reward members and run events. Giveaway servers range from communities that occasionally run prize draws to servers where giveaways are a central feature, often sponsored by creators, developers or brands. Prizes might include game keys, Nitro gifted through official Discord features, merchandise, art commissions or in-game items given through legitimate channels.

Legitimate giveaways have clear rules. Look for servers that explain eligibility, how winners are chosen, how prizes are delivered and how long winners have to claim. Good giveaway servers use transparent bots, publish winner announcements and do not require you to give personal information beyond what is needed to deliver a prize. Be cautious of giveaways requiring you to invite many people, join dozens of other servers, or click external links to "claim" prizes; these are common signs of scams or invite farming.

DiscoListing reviewers are strict here because giveaways are a frequent vehicle for scams. We reject servers that exist mainly to farm invites, require members to join partner servers to enter, use "free Nitro" or "claim your prize" phishing links, or promise prizes that never arrive. Servers running giveaways as part of a genuine community are welcome. Our ranking ignores giveaway-driven vote spikes through anomaly detection and caps on vote influence.

If you win a giveaway, a legitimate prize will never require your account password, your Discord token or a payment. If a "prize" asks for any of those, report it immediately.

Related tags include Events, Large Community and Community for servers where giveaways are part of a wider community.

Giveaways: frequently asked questions

Many are, and reviewers reject servers built around invite farming or scam prizes. Never give your password, token or payment details to claim a prize.

Links claiming free Nitro outside Discord’s official gifting are almost always phishing. Servers using them are rejected.

Votes are capped and time-decayed, and anomaly detection flags sudden spikes, so giveaways cannot buy a top ranking.
