About TTRPG Discord servers
Tabletop roleplaying games extend far beyond D&D, and TTRPG communities on Discord celebrate that variety. Servers cover Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Vampire: The Masquerade, Blades in the Dark, Powered by the Apocalypse games, Mothership, Lancer, Cyberpunk and countless indie systems. Communities host game-finding boards, system-specific rules help, game master advice, indie designer showcases and play-by-post games run entirely in text.
Look for servers that help you find the right game, not just any game. Good TTRPG communities explain each system's style, from rules-heavy tactical combat to narrative-focused storytelling, so you can find a table that fits. LFG posts should include the system, schedule, tone and safety tools. Designer communities are valuable when they offer playtesting and feedback for indie games. Many servers run game nights where people can try a new system in a one-shot.
DiscoListing reviewers check TTRPG servers for honest descriptions and respect for creators. We reject servers distributing pirated rulebooks and adventures, and we require clear terms for paid games. Content ratings must be accurate, and sexual content requires NSFW age-gating, with any sexual content involving minors banned.
If D&D does not quite fit your style, try a one-shot of a different system. Many players discover that a lighter or more narrative game matches what they want from roleplay far better.
Related tags include D&D, Worldbuilding, Fantasy RP and Sci-Fi RP for related communities.
Indie designers often launch new games through these communities, sharing quickstart rules, running playtests and gathering feedback before a crowdfunding campaign. Supporting a small designer by playing their game and giving thoughtful feedback is one of the most rewarding ways to take part in the hobby, and it often gets you early access to the finished book. Many servers also host annual events where members run unfamiliar systems back-to-back, a fun way to sample several games in a single weekend.
