Anime & Media Discord Servers & Communities

The Anime & Media category gathers communities built around stories, music and the fandoms that grow from them. It covers anime and manga, webtoons and comics, K-pop and J-pop, VTubers, cosplay, film, television, books, writing and fanfiction. Many of these fandoms overlap, so each tag page links to related tags, and a server can carry several tags if its channels genuinely cover them.

Fandom communities live or die by how they handle spoilers, credit and respect for creators. When browsing this category, check whether a server's description mentions spoiler policies, how it credits artists and translators, and whether it supports official releases. Activity stats on each listing help you tell the difference between a fandom that is busy every week and one that only wakes up for a premiere. Language filters are especially useful here, because fan communities exist in nearly every language.

Reviewers apply two rules in this category with particular care. First, piracy: servers built around illegal streams, scanlation reuploads of licensed works, ripped albums or leaked paid content are rejected. Second, child safety: sexual content involving minors, including drawn or fictional characters who appear to be minors, is banned in every form, and servers that tolerate it are removed and their owners blocked. Adult content about adult characters is only allowed in properly age-gated NSFW servers that users opt into.

If you are new to a fandom, start with a server that has a beginner or recommendations channel. Fans love introducing newcomers to the things they care about, and a good welcome makes all the difference.

On DiscoListing, fandom servers are ranked by how alive they are week to week, so communities that keep discussion going between seasons and releases rise naturally above ones that spike once and go quiet.

Servers here are ranked by Quality Score, which measures real activity, member retention and verified reviews instead of raw vote counts, so active communities rise and abandoned ones sink. Right now the top Anime & Media servers are /r/StarWars, Chainsaw Man and /r/OnePiece. If you like Anime & Media communities, you may also enjoy Anime, Books and Cartoons servers.

Run a Anime & Media server yourself? Listing it is free: add it, pass a short review, and it shows up here with live member counts and a link straight to your Discord invite.
