Bot invite link generator

Build an OAuth2 invite link with the right scopes and permissions.

Use the permissions calculator.

How to use the bot invite link generator

  1. Paste your application’s client ID from the Discord Developer Portal.
  2. Choose the scopes: bot to add the bot user, applications.commands for slash commands.
  3. Pick the permissions the bot needs and copy the finished invite link.

Common questions

Where do I find my bot’s client ID?
Open your application in the Discord Developer Portal. The Application ID on the General Information page is the client ID. For most bots it is the same number as the bot’s user ID.
Which scopes does a bot invite need?
Use bot to add the bot to a server and applications.commands so its slash commands appear. Most bots need both.
Why does my invite link say the bot is private?
Public Bot is switched off for the application, so only its owner can add it. Turn it on under the Bot tab of the Developer Portal to let others invite it.
